- Resident rates are only granted with current Open Gym ID Cards
- Anyone entering the gym must pay admission fee
Open Gym Resident Cards
- To receive an Open Gym ID Card, participant must prove Lockport Township residency once a year according to the calendar year
- Valid ID and tax bill/voters card for first initial input
- If residency is not provided in the current calendar year, participant will not get an Open Gym ID Card and pay non-resident rates. See brochure for residency qualifications.
- The first Open Gym ID Card is provided at no cost (it will not be dated and can roll over into the next calendar year once residency is updated)
- A $3 fee will be charged for replacing lost or stolen ID cards.
- Open Gym ID Cards are good for the calendar year and expire every December 31st
Open Gym FAQ
- *18+ supervision is required for a child who is 9 or younger
- Challenge Fitness members are granted resident pricing (must have membership upon entering)
- Non-Residents must provide valid identification before entry into open gym
- IDs must be presented at the front desk for admission into Open Gym. No exceptions will be made.
- 10X pass expires 6 months after purchase
Open Gym Rules
- Open Gym is basketball unless otherwise noted on the open gym schedule
- Abuse of gym rules will not be tolerated; offenders may lose gym use privileges
- LTPD is not responsible for lost or stolen personal items. Please keep all valuables out of sight, in a locker, or in your car.
- Vandalism or damage to LTPD property may result in termination of gym privileges and/or criminal charges
- Food (including candy and gum) and beverages are not allowed in the gym.
- Dunking, hanging from rims or nets are not allowed
- Black sole shoes, dress shoes, hats and loose jewelry are not allowed
- Gang symbols are not allowed
- Smoking, vaping or chewing tobacco are not allowed
- Shirts must be worn at all times
- Fighting, horseplay, obscene language/behavior, spitting, loitering or graffiti is prohibited
- Sharing courts and basketball goals is a must. Building supervisor reserves the right to split all full court games to half court games when deemed necessary.
- Open Gym schedule is subject to change without notice. Schedule is contingent upon programming & events
- All daily sales are final and may not be transferred or refunded
- Sharing Open Gym cards with other participants is strictly prohibited
- Playing music outside of headphones is prohibited
- Basketballs may be checked out with an ID at the front desk based on availability
- LTPD reserves the right to limit the number of participants in the gymnasium at the same time without prior notice
- The Park District reserves the right to change or modify the rules when necessary for: safety, security, Park District schedules or unforeseen circumstances.
- Water fountains are available in the hall as well as the North side of the gym as well as personal belongings lockers
- Once you leave the facility, you may only reenter by paying the set rate or with the designated hand stamp for the day
- Food and beverage rules: Inside of the gymnasium, only water is allowed. Inside of the lobby, only vending machine food is allowed. Outside food or beverages are not permissible outside of water
