Preschool Staff – DPCC

Teaching is what I love to do! I love seeing each child grow and develop throughout the school year. I have been teaching preschool since 2013. All 10 of those years I have taught here at Lockport Township Park District. I enjoy spending my free time with my fiancé and family. I love hiking, painting, crocheting and being outdoors.​

I started at the Park District working summer camp and then became a teacher’s aid. This is my 5th year in the 3 year olds classroom. I love working with kids and found a passion for teaching. Watching and helping the kids learn and grow throughout the school year is my favorite part! I always have a blast with the 3 year olds and they keep me on my toes! In my free time I like to do puzzles, watch movies, and spend time with my loved ones and my puppy!

I really enjoy teaching preschool at the DPCC, and I can’t wait for this school year to begin! I am a certified K-9 teacher. These past years I’ve been home raising my six kids and many other children in our home. Preschool aged children are so much fun to work with, as they make me laugh every day. I love to craft, participate in church events and hang out with my kids.

This is my second year working in the Purple Room and I am so excited to be here again!  I am currently in my third year at Joliet Junior College as a music major.  I love arts & crafts, bugs, music, and being outside.  I can’t wait to enjoy these things with my new preschool friends this year!

I’m proud to be a part of the Lockport Park District! I have been working with Learning Step Preschool since 2019 and I enjoy working in the community. I have a passion for working with preschool-aged children and love the energy they bring to the classroom. I enjoy helping each child progress in all areas of their development. I am married with two children. Some of my favorite things are spending time with my family, Dunkin Donuts coffee, listening to podcasts, and reading.​

I have been with the Lockport Park District for over 13 years. I worked for the Fun-Etic’s classes for 12 years before starting at the Preschool this past fall. I love working with children. They bring me so much joy.  I am married with three boys, ages 16, 14 and 9. In my free time I love spending time with my family and going to all the boys sporting events.

I have always had a passion for teaching! My passion only grew stronger as I entered college and then afterwards when I began teaching full time. I have over 27 years of experience teaching Early Childhood. I have been teaching in Lockport for 21 years this Fall and 17 of those years I have had the privilege of teaching preschool at Lockport Township Park District. Teaching preschool is definitely my gift because it’s what I love to do! I love everything about teaching preschool, especially watching my class transform​ into confident young students. I love giving preschoolers an excitement for learning.

My husband and I have three wonderful adult children, one grandson, and one little dog. I enjoy spending my free time with my family and my grandson making memories. My husband and I love to travel and are very active in our church.

I love teaching at the Learning Step Preschool! I have 13 years early childhood experience. When I started with the park district I was working with the Funetics program and moved over to the preschool in January 2022. Working with this age group gives me the opportunity to be silly and have fun with the kids but also to help them develop an excitement for learning. I’m very blessed to be able to do what I love every day. My husband and I have two teenage children 16 and 19. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family and going to see my daughter play lacrosse.

I love working with young children helping them discover the world around them through play and hand on activities.  This is my 2nd year teaching enrichment at the Lockport Park District Preschool.  In the past I was employed with Bright Horizons in Downers Grove.  During free time I enjoy reading, traveling, and spending time with my husband and our 3 children (10, 7, and 4).

This is my first year with the Lockport Park District teaching in the Enrichment Program. I love being able to work with the kids and see their excitement and creativity shine through while they learn through play and social interaction. I previously worked at Kensington School before becoming a stay at home mom to my four kids(ages 12, 8, 5 and 3). In my free time I enjoy spending time with my husband and kids while playing outside, having movie nights, and attending all of their sporting events!

This is my first year at Lockport Park District as a teacher in the Enrichment Program. It has been such a joy getting to work with these kids every day. I have worked in child care for a few years. I was a part of the Wheaton Park District before coming to Lockport. I have wonderful girls of my own- ages 10, 4 and 2. We enjoy exploring all of the nature in the area and having family movie nights in our free time.
