Challenge Fitness Upgrades - Lockport
The success of Challenge Fitness has afforded us the opportunity to continue to make upgrades to the facility. Next on the docket is the replacement of the insulation on the walls and roof of the facility; this upgrade will give the tennis courts a fresh new appearance.
Dellwood Park - Lockport
Much attention and focus is being paid to upgrades throughout Dellwood Park. From first class washroom facilities to upgrades in pavilions to attractive landscaping, Dellwood Park is receiving an overall facelift to the delight of the residents in Lockport.
I & M Canal - Lockport
We are clearing debris, dead trees and underbrush from along the Canal--especially between the Gaylord Building and Division Street. New benches and flower beds have been placed along the trail for your enjoyment.
Sunset Park - Romeoville
Renovations to Sunset Park include the addition of an ADA accessible playground with poured in place surfacing. This beautiful new playground replaces a playground structure that was nearly 20 years old. Attention is also being focused on the path system, the washrooms and the pavilion. When complete, this will be a preeminent facility for the residents of Romeoville.
Overall Park Improvements
We will be auditing all of our parks to determine what improvements can be instituted to enhance the aesthetics of each park site. This program will be phased in over a number of years and will include such things as landscaping, garbage receptacles and overall maintenance.
